Return and Refund Policy

This return and refund policy applies to all purchases made via Hillary's online shop.
Certain rights and obligations vary depending on the country of delivery and market, as set out in the relevant sections below.


#1 General return conditions (applies to all markets)

For a return to be approved, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be in the same condition as upon delivery, unused, with all original tags attached and in its original packaging.

  • A receipt or other proof of purchase must be provided.

  • A return must be requested by email to shop@hillary.se with a clear description and images showing the reason for the return.

Returns that do not meet the above conditions will not be accepted.


#2 Return approval and handling (applies to all markets)

  • A return must be requested and approved in writing before the item is sent back.

  • Items sent back without prior approved return authorisation will not be accepted.

  • For approved returns, we provide instructions and, where applicable, a return shipping label.

#3 Damage, defects, and incorrect items (applies to all markets)

The order must be inspected upon receipt.

  • If the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, this must be reported immediately.

  • For deliveries outside the EU, notification must be made no later than within 48 hours of receipt.

Failure to report within the specified time limit may result in the right to compensation, replacement, or refund being forfeited.


#4 Exceptions – items that cannot be returned (applies to all markets)

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Sale or promotional items

  • Gift cards

  • Customised or specially manufactured products

  • Hygiene, personal care, or beauty products

  • Perishable goods

  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

#5 Exchanges (applies to all markets)

We do not offer direct exchanges.
The fastest way to obtain a different product, size, or colour is to return the approved item in accordance with this policy and then place a new order separately.

Rules under #1 and #2 apply.


#6 Special conditions – EU

Right of withdrawal within the EU

For deliveries within the EU, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of receipt, without stating any reason, in accordance with applicable EU legislation.

Rules under #1 and #2 also apply when exercising the right of withdrawal.

Return shipping – EU

All returns, except when exchanging for a different product, size, or colour, are at the customer's expense.
The return fee amounts to 30% of the value of the item, but no more than €30.


#7 Special conditions – outside the EU (USA, Canada, United Kingdom, and South America)

No statutory right of withdrawal

For deliveries outside the EU, there is no statutory right of withdrawal.

Returns – outside the EU

  • A return must be requested no later than 7 calendar days from the delivery date.

  • Returns are accepted only after explicit written approval.

  • Hillary reserves the right to unilaterally reject a return.

Return shipping, customs, and fees

  • The customer is fully responsible for all costs of return shipping, customs duties, taxes, import fees, and administrative charges.

  • Shipments must be sent DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).

  • Shipments incurring fees or customs charges will be refused.

This policy constitutes the prior information on return conditions required under applicable legislation in certain jurisdictions, including the State of California, USA.


#8 Refunds (applies to all markets unless otherwise stated)

  • We will notify you when we have received and inspected the return and whether the refund is approved or not.

  • Approved refunds are issued automatically to the original payment method within 10 business days.

  • Shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and fees are not refunded.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, or payment service providers.

If more than 15 business days have passed since the approved return, please contact shop@hillary.se.


#9 Limitation of liability

Hillary is not liable for:

  • Delays, losses, or damage caused by the carrier, customs handling, or decisions by authorities

  • Indirect damages, consequential damages, or financial losses


#10 Language and interpretation

This policy was originally drafted in Swedish.
In the event of any discrepancy between language versions, the Swedish version shall prevail for interpretation purposes, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
